
The ‘witches and wizards’ camp of Gnani at Yendi saw a bright light beaming from Nana Frimpomaa, the chair and leader of the Convention People’s Party as she celebrates this years mother’s day with them.
The passionate leader Nana Frimpomaa as part of mother’s day celebration gifted the most disadvantaged women and men assorted clothes, personal protective equipments, drinks, biscuits and a piece of Cake.
Speaking to the women, the chair and leader of the CPP said, she truly relate to their predicament adding that some christian families are synonymous with this age long practice. Some pastors often claim that the failure of a family project, chronic sickness and poverty are the conscious work of a witch, most often a woman or child in the family. These baseless accusations have resulted in the death of women and children and it is about time Ghana opens a discuss to end this injustice.
Nana Frimpomaa asked the women to see her as their sister, mother and friend. She promised to partner with the Chief of Gnani to give direct economic support to the most vulnerable women and men.
The leader took turns to sing and dance with mothers of Gnani and thanked them for taking care of their children in such very inhuman circumstances.
