The Chair and Leader of the Convention People’s Party Nana Akosua Frimpomaa has paid a courtesy call on the overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II at the Gbewaa Palace on mother’s day.
In an opening salutation the Chair and Leader asked for God’s protection for Yaa Naa and commended him for the prevailing peace at Dagbon. Nana Frimpomaa asked for Yaa Naa’s blessings as she embarks on her journey to revive Dr Kwame Nkrumahs collapsed legacy.
Welcoming the Chair and Leader, Yaa Naa Abubakari Mahama II said ‘I am happy to see my daughter, this is your home , come back any time and let’s talk more. The King blessed Nana Frimpomaa and encouraged her to keep up her good works. He blessed her next engagement with the people of Gnani where Nana Frimpomaa is billed to celebrate this years mother day with the supposed ‘witches’.
The entourage to the Gbewaa Palace were the CPP Northern Region Executives including the Regional Organizer Mr Ben Azuma, the regional chairman Alhaji Mohammed, the regional education secretary Abdallah Muaz, the regional treasure Hajia Munira, second vice chairman Abubakari Abdulai and a host of others.
The colourful event in the mist of high security got the Chair and Leader dance to rich traditional appellations amid drumming.
