The Chairperson and Leader of the Convention People’s Party Nana Akosua Frimpomaa has called on Ghanaians to position themselves to kick out Economic Invaders. She said that is the only way to regain Economic Independence.
The vociferous leader made these remarks when addressing a group of youth who paid her a visit at her corporate office at East Legon. Nana Frimpomaa charged Ghanaians to stop sitting aloof on the sidelines and play Blame-Game. She ascribed such attitudes as the source of our economic failure and defeat.
‘Get involved today, sacrifice for yourself and your children, take charge, resolve to use your energy fully to direct your destiny’, she added. She recalled the very actions and urgencies that motivated our call and struggle for independence on 6th March 1957. ‘At that time, we all joined forces; Market Women, Veranda Boys & Girls, Workers of Ghana, The Clergy, Farmers, The Fishing Community, Unemployed Youth in limbo, Pensioners and a few Elites took over the affairs of the country into our own hands and with a collective force, sent our colonial invaders out, to gain our Political Independence.
Nana Frimpomaa said, she felt very sorry for the lack of opportunities for Ghanaian youth, the abject Poverty, the high rate of unemployment, the lack of decent accommodation, the lack of business capital and the ever increasing cost is food, fuel and transportation services. She called in Ghanaians to Own CPP and takeover the Governance of Ghana.
‘Remember we all, in our somewhat ordinary-everyday lives, have something to give; You Matter, this is Your Country, this is Your Time’.
