The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission and the strongest ideological contender for the recent General Secretary Seat of the NPP, Hon. Idrisu Musah popular called Musah Superior has called on Members of Parliament expecially of the ruling party to speak truth to power to avoid the embarrassment from their Constituents
This call is at the back of series of attacks on NPP MPs by their Constituents for lack of improvement and development promised them. ‘It does appear our MPs are in trouble!
Our MPs are castigated, insulted, booed; and in some instances chased out of some communities.
Musah Superior
Recently, the Majority Leader, Kyei Mensah Bonsu was molested, humiliated for what his constituents say was his “inability to fix” the bad roads in his constituents….

According to Musah Superior, the people are justified to insist that their Members of Parliament provide resources and funding for both infrastructural and social developments because the then Parliamentary Candidates (PCs) now MPs promised to bring massive developments when they get elected.
Thousands of citizens have the wrong impression that their MPs can do “everything”. They insist the MPs should find them employment, pay their fees, pay their medical bills, build houses for them, pay rent, etc. This is completely unachievable! The MPs cannot meet these demands. Infact they do not have the power or resources to do so many things.
They cannot tell you because of political convenience. MPs with no Ministerial Appointment are Broke. After several deductions on their salaries, they are left with trifling cash.
Musah Superior
The Deputy CEO of Forestry Commission added that members of Parliament represent their constituents in many ways. They mainly do advocacy work for their constituents, make laws, unmake laws, scrutinize the work of the Executive, Debate Bills and Policies. These are what MPs do; and NOTHING else.
On Salaries, the vociferous former major of Tamale revealed that, Non Minister MPs earn little over 12000.00 Ghana Cedis. MPs share of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) is wholly inadequate. These allocations are meant for development projects in the constituencies.
Musah Superior known for his fearless and objective critiques called on MPs to stop the deliberate misinformation the people about what they can do.

Stop lying and misinforming the voters to trick them to get you hired.
Musah Superior
In his final submission, Hon. Idrisu Musah stated that most MPs have become mentally troubled. They hide in their own shadows, refuse to periodically go to their constituencies and completely make themselves unavailable. This is troubling.
