“Mahama Will Be a Lame Duck in 2026” – Musah Superior Declares

Former Tamale Mayor and NPP stalwart Musah Superior has taken a bold stance on the incoming John Mahama administration, predicting that the NDC leader will become a “lame duck” president by 2026. In a hard-hitting statement, Musah Superior argued that Mahama’s ambitious campaign promises were unrealistic and would soon backfire, leaving his government struggling under the weight of unfulfilled expectations.

The NPP will win in 2028 if we put our act together. Mahama appears dingy. He is consumed by the numerous over-the-top promises he made to Ghanaians. I know his feet will be held to the fire because the people will insist that he fulfills them. He cannot achieve this by any stretch of imagination. They deliberately deceived Ghanaians and won

According to Musah Superior, history has shown that Mahama’s leadership is incapable of delivering extraordinary results. He recalled that Mahama’s previous administration was voted out due to poor performance and asserted that the same fate awaited him.

“Mahama’s previous government struggled, and he got voted out. He is not going to do anything extraordinary. In fact, he becomes a lame duck president when the NDC starts searching for its flagbearer for 2028. And the search will start by the middle of 2026,” he emphasized.

Musah Superior used the opportunity to rally the NPP, calling for a complete overhaul of the party’s leadership to ensure victory in the 2028 elections.

“Let’s build a strong party to win 2028, but we can only get our party working and prepare it adequately when we choose honest, strong, brave, smart, innovative, hardworking, and result-oriented leadership across all organizational layers. We need firm hands, mentally accurate minds, and intellectually riveting persons to lead us to rebuild our fallen party and come back stronger in 2028.”

As the NPP gears up for a major internal reorganization, Musah Superior’s call signals the beginning of a strategic push to reclaim power in the next election cycle. Whether his predictions about Mahama’s leadership hold true remains to be seen, but the political landscape is set for intense competition in the coming years.
